Daryl, Corey and Nicolas think they are the luckiest kids ever because they have TWO grandmas! And they are lucky. They have two wonderful grandmas that love them to pieces. There is not one thing these two women would not do for their precious grandchildren. I wish every child in the world was blessed with a "Grandma Ree" and a "Grandma C". The world would be a better place. Above is Grandma Ree holding Spencer with a gleeful Daryl LaRue sitting beside her. Below is Grandma C showing the kids how to play with the airplanes. "Pull it back...Let go... and watch them FLY across the floor!"

I'm H.A.P.P.Y
The kids were sick a couple of weeks ago. It was torture for me. Everyone was whining and crying and clinging to my every limb. Daryl and Nic would wipe their runny noses on my clothes, Corey would fall to pieces when his nose would run and he needed a tissue. Not fun. So, everyone is healthy again and I am H.A.P.P.Y! Since I don't have any pictures of myself, I thought smiley pictures of Daryl would suffice.
Say...I Love You and CHEESE!

Through The Eyes of A Child
The innocence of a child's soul
is what makes them seem so whole.
So peaceful and trusting as they reach out.
Full of life and rarely a doubt.
Skipping along while holding your hand,
Knowing that you will take their stand.
Loving you entirely for who you are,
Seeing the beauty of your soul with no scar.
As we grow older and more serious in age,
We become fearful and oft full of rage.
We begin to lose things that once made us feel loved.
Somewhere in our souls are things that are shoved....
that we try to forget and leave sitting inside.
We forget how to live and just go with the ride.
If only we could look through our eyes as a child,
into the soul that we once possessed undefiled.
To enjoy the wind and the moon and the stars,
with a soul which has not gained any scars.
To see the beauty in all that we touch.
To see through the eyes of a child would mean so much.
God grant us the gift to look back as a child,
To trust and to love with a soul undefiled.
Looking once more through the eyes of a child!

Seeing Corey on the Teeter Totter was such a treat. It was his first experience and he was loving every minute of it. One of the greatest joys of motherhood is to watch my children discover and experience happiness each day in the tiniest pleasures. If I can only keep that perspective each day, I am sure I would be a happier person and fewer things would get me down or get in my way. To see through the eyes of a child does mean so much.
Yum Yum...My Fingers Are Sooo Tasty!
I'm Going to Shake, Shake, Shake My Sillies Out!
I love being silly and so do my kids but they are WAY better at it than I am.

Here is my daughter with a mixing bowl on her head as a hat. How clever!

Here she is at Grandma's house with sunglasses on... upside down. I love to laugh with Daryl and make her laugh. One of her favorite phrases is, " Mommy, tickle ME!"

My sister hosted a fun baby shower for me when I was pregnant with Daryl. One of her great ideas that I loved was making a beaded necklace for my husband to wear the day our daughter was born. Each person at the shower chose a bead and as they threaded the bead onto the necklace they offered one attribute they wished for Daryl to posses. Here is that list of attributes. My daughter is a beautiful little girl. A special daughter of our Heavenly Father. She has been blessed with many Christ-like attributes and as she grows, I witness them growing within her.

Darylina Ballerina

Daryl LOVES Angelina Ballerina. I signed her up for a Fairy Ballet Dance class. We bought her a pink leotard, tutu and white ballet slippers. It was so fun watching her twirl and flutter around the room.
After watching her dance around the room I discovered that she would have been satisfied with just the leotard, tutu, slippers and classical music. Luckily the dance class has been a good experience and her teacher lets the girls have as much fun as possible while pretending to be fairy ballet dancers.
