Shake, Rattle and Roll
Hours of Entertainment Right Outside Our Door
Our road is being repaved and widened. It is a month long project since our road is three miles long (small exaggeration). My kids LOVE the big machines and LOVE to watch the dump trucks, bulldozer, roller, etc. move up and down the road. Today the machines were right outside my living room window. So, I turned the sofa around and the kids sat and watched all the commotion as if it was a movie on T.V.
Bob The Builder LIVE!
His Hair Has Never Been This Short...
Spence got a hair cut Monday night. Darrel came into the room saying," Spence show Mommy your new hair cut." I thought he had shaved him a Mohawk or something to be funny. I listened for his little feet as he rushed into the room and to my surprise I saw the new Spencer! I'm still getting use to it. His hair has never been this short and it's so hard to let go of the "Baby" hair. Now he's a big boy.

Lilly Rolled Over Today!
Exciting times when your baby learns to roll over. Life as you once knew it suddenly changes forever. No longer can I put her down and expect to find her in the same spot. (sniff sniff) Where has the past five months gone? It's passing too quickly.
Miss Lilly in her saucer.
The kids sleeping in their "BIG BED"
"There were four in the bed and the little one said, 'Roll Over, Roll Over', so they all rolled over and Corey fell out there were three in the bed and the little one said, 'Roll Over, Roll Over', so they all rolled over and Nic fell out, there were two in the bed and the little one said, 'Roll Over, Roll Over, so they all rolled over and Spencer fell out and woke up the whole house as he sat there on the floor wailing until his sleep deprived mother came in to get him"
THE END.
When I have heard a thump in the night (sometimes I am so tired I don't hear anything but, when I do) I go in to assess the scene and usually it is Corey that has fallen out of bed. And there he will lay (most times) completely unshaken as if he did not just fall out of his "BIG BED". Other times, it is Nic and he too can sleep through falling out of bed. Spencer... NO he wakes up the entire house. Daryl... never falls out of bed, she gets out of bed and crawls into mine.

More Activity in the Kitchen
So... on this particular day, I decided that I was NOT going to make lunch. I invited the children to suite up and take control of the kitchen (almost). I instructed each cook on how to complete their assigned tasks. Daryl made brownies. Corey made macaroni and cheese. Nicolas made peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. Note: I did not plan the menu but I did approve it when it was presented to me (just this once). They had a great time and everyone ate what was prepared (amazing). Spencer observed from his kitchen stool.

Lilly and Spencer
Lilly and Spencer are 18 months apart. They are close and it shows through their actions. Lilly loves all her brothers but this brother in particular really loves his little sister. Spencer will often lay down next to her. He can make her smile and giggle. He is ever so concerned about her and will alert me when she cries, " Mommy Wilwee crying!"

October...so far.
My camera has been on the outs and I think I was able to revive it (with some new batteries). I feel like I have missed so much over the last month.
I took the kids to the Fryeburg Fair. It was a lot of fun. They saw all the animals; sheep, lambs, oxen, steers, pigs, swine, Lamas, Alpaca, and horses. I wasn't prepared to pay $20.00 a kid for the rides so we ate fried dough and watched the horse race. While we were walking around, I was pushing the quad stroller and when I glanced back to check on the little ones trailing behind me, I saw that Corey and Nicolas were holding hands. It was priceless. Then I noticed that Spencer was holding hands with Lilly in the stroller. It was another heart-warming moment for mom.
On the way up there (1 1/2 hours) we passed Moose Lake and I fell in love with the landscape. My pictures don't capture the beauty well. Just give me 6 acres on top of that ski slope so that I can wake up every morning overlooking the land and I'll be a happy woman (well, I am happy so, I guess it will add to my happiness).
