Fun, Fun, Fun!

We are so grateful for our friends in Caribou. Even though we were playing with them lots, I only have these photos??? What happened? I was meaning to capture the bird nest creation. That was awesome and they worked on it for hours. Hannah captured the costume parade and sprinkler fun. My kids still ask if we can buy the swirly sprinkler every time we are in W Mart. We went to the park together and they let us come over when the weather was bad and we just needed to get out. We had a lot of fun together and even though we were sad to leave... we are happy that we will be returning!

Here we are at the Dinosaur Park along the trail picking flowers. The best thing about our kids playing together is that their imaginations would think up such grand adventures. I know there are more adventures to come!

MOOSE!!!!

You cannot see the moose in the picture but he or she is there on the left. We were on yet another ride on the country roads and it was about 5:30 p.m. and it had just rained. As we were driving I spotted this moose trotting along down the road in front of us. "It's a MOOSE!" I screamed. I quickly grabbed the camera and in that short time it quickly made its exit and retreated back into the woods. It was a thrilling moment for me. I have wanted to see a moose ever since we moved here. You frequently see warning signs on the side of the road but I had yet to encounter a moose. Let me note that I have NO desire to encounter a moose while traveling along the road that would result in a fatal accident but to see one at this safe distance while he trotted AWAY from us was great! Respect the moose. They are enormous.

Van Buren and Fort Kent

Sunday after Church we went for a long drive. We headed north towards Van Buren and traveled route one toward Fort Kent. You'll never guess what we passed on our travels... a playground! I love this photo of Daddy Darrel and Daughter Daryl. All the other kids were asleep so it was just the two of them on the playground together. It was cute.

The swing photo was taken at another playground in Fort Kent. There were a bunch of swings all in a row and I had camera in hand and was able to capture Darrel and four of the kids together on the swings. Luke was in the stroller next to me and Lilly... she was running around on the playground nearby.

Phone Conversations

Lilly and Spencer were pretending to talk on the phone. Lilly was so funny as she relaxed in her chair and then from time to time she would put her leg up in the air while she was "talking" to Spencer.

Woodland School Playground

We did not visit ALL the playgrounds in the area but we did visit the majority of them. Whenever there was a sunny day, we were out and about playground hopping.

Madawaska Lake

We made some friends on our trip. They invited us up to their camp on the lake. It was a blast! I haven't been out on a lake in YEARS! Better yet on a speed boat! We all had a great time with our great friends.

Aroostook State Park

We decided on a picnic at the Aroostook State Park. We were the only people at the picnic area. There weren't too many other people there at the camping area and boat launch. It was quiet and peaceful. Again, I was hoping for a playground to entertain the children for a little bit. There was not a playground near us. We did pass some swings as we drove through the camping area but the kids were content to play around with their bat and ball. I really enjoyed the serenity.
